I've wanted to post this for a while now.  I see other peoples set ups and think, I could use that, or naw that looks to complicated for me.

Here are 2 of my simple improvs.  1st, your paddle leash makes a great kelp tether, the give helps if there is some current too.

2nd.  a simple piece of chord with a plastic clip attached to a zip tie loosely looped around your pole near the reel makes a functional rod leash.   If that sounds confusing I'll post a pic but it seems to work and takes about 3 minutes to construct.  I use about 3 feet of chord.

I just don't have time to do anything much but get ready for my next fish trip.

Look forward to hearing from some of you.

I couldn't find any rod leashes in my town so i went to Bi-Mart and bought a few key leashes.  They were less then $2 each and I've only managed to break one all summer :P

Here are some rod leashes I put together with old cell phone car charger chords, some bungee, and plastic clips.  I attached little brass rings to all the butts of my rods so they easily clip on.  The plastic clips that Scotty makes are awesome.

love your ideas/innovations, rawkfish!
I will definitely make some rod leashes  this weekend.
I'm having a hard time finding the plastic clips, but the metal leash clips are at Wal Mart. $2.19  a pair.

I've been using my Igloo ice chest for Live Well if needed, :).   buying another one for storage this weekend.

Hopefully some day I get back into Kayak fishing, for now.  Gotta focus on Life.

Rawfish, don't leave out your roll bar on the X-Factor.  That thing inspired me to make one for my T-13, and it makes a day on the lake more user friendly being able to hold all my different rigged rods up out of the way.

As far as my innovations and improvisations.....

Drift anchor design.  Never seen this done before, so I tackled building the oddball mold for them.  Seems to really work well as the face bites down into the river/lake bottom really well for it's weight.

Rod pod lid that actually can be sat on, properly seals out water through surf zones, and is narrower than the factory lid so there is more foot room.

Most recent... The recessed flag mount.

It's not a question of "could" with INSAYN.  Metal bends to his will.  I know, I've seen it.
