11 of us went down, 1 Tues, 4 Thurs, 6 Friday, I was in the Friday group. Fished HARD up until Monday Morning and packed up and headed home, fat and happy. Just the perfect trip. My last fish was in 7 feet of water on a popper and 12 pound line. 8 pound cabrilla, perfect finish. Another good fish was on 40# in 60 feet, 15 pound cabrilla.

That's a great looking trip. Did you drive down and use your own boats?

That looks AWESOME.  Love that big shade canopy the tents were under.  Was that in place or did someone bring it?

Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. That water looks so warm and inviting.

about an 8 hour drive, we caravaned down and brought all our gear. we have camped here before about 100 miles south of San Felipe, used to be 30 miles of rough road, now only 3 miles and that is soon to be paved. Change is a comin' My first trip below San Felipe, kayak fishing was 11 years ago. The palapas are in place and the cost is only $20 per night per palapa. Showers and flush toilets and a mercado about a mile away to grab ice and staples. Water was 72-73 and air was 60s at night and 70s-80s during the day.

Saw this post over at BWE.  Wish I had a yak back when I was doing regular surf trips to Baja!

My kind of threadjack! unfortunately I am a low buck adventurer and wish I could swing that kind of dream trip. I caught some grief from my wife for taking off for 4 days......I have not told her that I have a Santa Barbara Island  mothership charter next weekend yet  ;D

Here is the video I shot.
