I want to say thanks to NWKA and especially to the members that came out and supported us last Saturday. Thanks to Portland HOW for bringing the extra kayaks and gear, you guys are awesome.

We had some crazy weather, it started out as a beautiful day with some clouds and sun. But eventually turned into rain, wind and even some hail. The wind destroyed 3 of our canopies and a few folks had to literally hold down the fort.

Despite the weather, I think everyone had a great time. There were plenty of fish, even the kiddies that fished from the dock with some of the volunteers were hooking fish.

It was pretty tough to Not catch fish that day. WDFW opened the lake just for HOW and had stocked over 6000 trout a few days before to help ensure a great day of "catching". A couple of local game wardens were on site making sure no one else was fishing the lake except our Vets and their families. One of them was actually helping some of the kids on shore. Here are a few photos from the event. Check us out on Facebook for more pictures and if you'd like to be a volunteer send us a message on Facebook.

Cami & Glen of Fishing Together Forever, a Youtube sensational series was on site to film their latest show and help showcase.

Looks like it was a great turnout!

Lot of smiling faces there.
