Looks better more north than south at least from a wind standpoint.

Probably headed to Depoe because I've been a couple times, but would consider other options if someone wants to go somewhere else.  I do need to travel form Eugen though.

My only concern is that Friday's favorable prediction is sandwiched between not so good conditions on Thursday and Saturday. That based on noaa. I'd be interested to know how others read it.

I am no expert but am with Wilyakfish on the sandwich comment. Also, looks a bit breezier than I prefer. Keeping fingers crossed for next weekend!!

Wind will be blowing strong all night and will be 10-15 kts gusting to 20 kts - wind waves 3 ft at 4 seconds per NOAA.  Doesn't sound fun or safe to me. Always good to reality check the optimistic surfer's forecast with a pessimistic (and probably more realistic) mariner's forecast.

From my experience in socal, I went out in sandwich condition like Friday, the forecast is always wrong, I can imagine the sea is much rougher than socal. Also the swell period is very short. I would like to go out from Depoe in the near future.

Predicted wind has picked up, I'm not going out with gusts at 15knts.

Guess I'll go the other way and look for lake trout in the mountains

Some potential opportunity next week though
