FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!! I think it's safe to say that we all had a good time. The only thing I would change is more time. Make it a week long!!! That was the most fun I 've had with my clothes on. Allen thanks again, you did a great job putting that thing together. I say we keep having them until EVERYONE has a new yak ;D.
Pisco sorry you couldn't make it, but at least we kept 1st and 2nd on the East side right Kevin. Now the smack talking can commence ;). Oh just joking. It was nice to put faces with names.  And the guys that showed up just to compete, thats cool. That means Allens site is working.
Well worth the sore butt driving that far with cash in my pocket on the way home, now the kids can eat this month, FISH!!!
I want to take some of the pictures and make a flyer to hang up at Hooked on toys to entice people to try kayak fishing. Maybe at mountain sports in Leavenworth too.

Bigg weaner, I mean winner Kevin from Republic. GOOD JOB BUDDY!!

Was great derby. Only regret I have is not being able to spend more time over there. Was really enjoying the salt water fishing for a change. Still not good with telling species apart as I thought I had a stringer of Copper Rock fish but they were Quill Backs.  Learned a lot and got some good idea on rigging the yak better. I found I was pretty unprepared for Salt water fishing.

Next time I will try to plan a week vacation over there.  8)

Thanks to all responsible for setting up the Snow Creek fishing derby.  What a great group of people!   Justin, Jim, Jason and I had a great time.  It was a marathon trip from Curlew and Spokane but well worth it.  Thanks especially to Justin who drove all night to get us back to work on Monday.  We had to go through Olympia as the Ferries were full.  Got home @ 4:30 AM.  We hope to have some kind of get together on lake Roosevelt sometime in the future.  I'm proud to have won the Prowler Big Game.  First time I've ever won anything!!   It will be a constant reminder of the excellent time we had with all there.   What a life time experience.  Thanks again and keep yakin!!!  Kevin

It was sure good to get back out on the salt water and Neah Bay Snow Creek was a super good place to kayak fish. I had a great time and it was fun to fish with some people that truly love the sport of kayak fishing. Its always hard to put out the time and money to do something like this derby or just a fishing trip but the rewards go much deeper, these are the good times and we have to cherish every one of these trips that we can squeeze into our busy lifes...I would like to thank everyone that put this derby on and every one that fished it....a Big congrats to Kevin for the big fish, a special thanks to Justin for driving us home safely and to Jason for taking time from work and joining us. Hopefully we can do this again next year ;D ;D ;D
