Phil has a great reputation and give good seminars.  For those of you gearing up to hit the springers, you may want to consider this.  I'll be up in BC that day, otherwise I'd be there.

Springer guys--  The Outdoor Emporium in Seattle is doing a similar seminar from 9-3 on the 8th. That is at their 4th Ave. S. location.  Don't know if their give-aways are as good though ;)

Sorry I'll be missing these-- not too sorry since I'll be fishin!

Right you are on OE.  They have a stellar lineup as well.

Join us here at The Outdoor Emporium as we present some of the biggest names in fishing for our Annual Spring Chinook Clinic!! Saturday, March 8th from 11:00 A.M. ‘til 3:00 P.M. we will go in-depth with fantastic tips, tricks and techniques of the Northwest Pros!! • Bill Herzog- famed author, television personality and co-host of the NWWC Radio Program will cover Springer tactics on Northwest tributaries!! • Tom “T.J.” Nelson- prolific author, successful fishing guide and co-host of the NWWC Radio Program will offer up some “down and dirty” secrets on the Puget Sound Springer Fishery and will cover the Columbia River Fishery below Bonneville Dam. • Eli Rico- owner of “HotShot Guide Service”, expert on Skykomish/Snohomish Rivers and frequent call-in guest of the NWWC Radio Program will cover Drano Lake, Wind River and Mid-Columbia area and how to maximize your Springer fishing in the 2008 season. As always, we will have lots of terrific door prizes, great in-store specials on Springer gear, factory reps on hand to answer your questions and the famed “Outdoor Emporium BBQ’d hot dogs” and sodas for lunch!! And it’s all FREE!!

I frequent OE quite a bit as it's the closest decent fishing store to me.  If you ever stop by OE and run into Paul, the fishing dept manager, tell him you're a kayak fisherman and ask them what they have planned to support the sport.  I do it as much as I can and I think I'm starting to get mind share there.

OE is the closest fishing place to me as well and I work about 4 or 5 blocks away- so I'll be bending Paul's ear a little.
Good luck up North.

Rob.
