We had our house warming for the new place this weekend, thus I was unable to join you guys at the Tournament.

One of our gifts was some fresh halibut from LingLady's uncle, who fishes out of Astoria.  They caught 4 over a two day period last week.

Marie prepped the halibut by soaking it in some lemon juice and white wine.  We let it marinate in that for the 30 minutes it took to do our evening workout.

I lit up the grill and let it get to 350+, then threw the Hali slabs on there and let it heat up to 450.  I didn't watch the time, just pulled them off when they were flaking.  (new grill, so I gotta learn the hot spots still)

Add in some leftover pasta salad from the housewarming and some Mango Peach Salsa... oh and don't forget the beer.

The his and hers sized portions are totes adorbs.  Nice counters.  Granite?  LL's choice in beer may trump yours.  And it'd be cuter if she had a smaller fork. That fish looks good.

Yep, granite.  The best thing about the house us that everything is already done.  The last house was a continuous job.  Hell, I was tooling the kitchen when Ravdakot and Co came over to enjoy electricity during the last blizzard.

You're right, she dies have the better beer, but it's only because I had found out five minutes prior that all my dead guy ale was gone.

And yes, I do enjoy the larger portions.

Say what you will, but for the price point, HW IPA ain't bad. I wish I knew how to go fishing and catch halibuts.  That looks tasty.

I'm already trying to get on the boat-ho list for next hali season.  I'd love to figure out how to catch them from the yak, but I think that may be nothing more than blind luck for a little while if I do pull that off as I need to up my kayaking and fishing compentencies a bit before I can say skill was a real factor.
