Alright,

I unfortunately found out that you can't grill in subzero temps....it just doesn't work (temps below sublimation temp for LPG to turn into gas).  So, I need some good recipes I can cook inside.

Here's what in my freezer.
-buffalo I shot
-elk I shot
-smoked king salmon
-sockeye filets
-ling cod
-halibut
-chicken
-pork
-pecans
-Alaskan raspberries & blueberries
-okra

I've got a pretty decent set of cookware and utensils to work with, and I'm not too shabby in the kitchen.

Any ideas?

Yeah...as in North American Bison.

Shot it in the lungs....no, it was a once in a lifetime hunt in WY.  It's the largest wild herd in north America that resides in Grand Teton National Park and the surrounding National Forrest & National Elk Refuge. Very tasty treats

A big crockpot full of venison chili or a combo venison/buffalo chili.

Fish tacos, blackened fish (might stink up the house), or fish curry

I always like smoked salmon in a pasta dish.  Elk stew is always good.

What type of sauce do you use with the pasta and smoked salmon?

We use Alfredo sauce with some fresh pees and parmesan cheese on top.

One of my favorite local restaurants does a version of this with sage-pesto in place of the Italian parsley. If you want to save some of the scotch for a more noble use you can sub in some smoked pimenton.

To capture the fish is not all of the fishing. Yet there are circumstances which make this philosophy hard to accept.
