I just found this web site and would like to learn more.  If the tournament comes together I would love to join if I can find the time this weekend.  I (kind of) know how to fish and I've done lots of kayaking but never the two together.  I'm looking forward to giving it a shot.

Welcome to NWKA SE! There's lots of people like you out here like you who are just getting the idea of putting the two sports together. Once you've tried it the madness will sink it's teeth in. :laughing8: There's plenty of knowledge here on the board so if you have any questions search for it and if it's not out there already feel free to ask.
Enjoy the ride!

You know I really didn't want to say it, and I figured Mike must be bringing the family up to picnic, because he'd never WUSS OUT because of a little weather! <snip>

Ok, Ok, it  ain't so. If nothing else I succeeded in getting you boys' testosterone stirred up a bit. B'sides, I'd never want to miss a display of the fish dance.

Where and when are we meeting?

Okay, I don't know about everyone else, but my plan for Sunday is to launch from Boat Ramp C at Henry Hagg Lake sometime around 7 am.  If anyone else shows that morning great.  If they still want to have a friendly wager, even better.

Spot, where you heading?  I'm thinking of putting in more time chasing the elusive springer, either on MC or Drano.

Okay, sounds like we got us a Mini Tourney!  I'll be at Hagg Lake Sunday, Boat Ramp C (Thanks for the map Brian), I'll try to get there around 7, but would be surprised if I launch before 8.  Look for the Black Chevy Truck with Rack and "one of the" Orange Big Games (I'll have a "Curious George Yellow" hat also).

Those wanting to put a little wager on it, maybe we should meet 8ish out from the Boat Ramp (Put time, location limit etc. where to fish etc.)  Original suggestion (from Spot, who's bailing on us :) is bring $15, pay $5 to the person who catchs the first fish, the last fist and the biggest fish.  If that doesn't work, we can just play the old largest fish of the day game.

I'll bring a little radio and be on channel 4 (random #) if anybody else has one.  I hope to see some folks out there, new and experienced.  Dress for the weather.

3wt, FFTW et. all - Saturday's still open for me, thinking of chasing some Springers.  Mult. Channel sounds good to me.  Next week we'll have a lot more boats to deal with so may be the last "quiet" time.  Haven't even looked at the tides, but 9am is a "convienient" weekend time for myself.  Any takers?

You'll see me there.  Hey, the tides are really bad on Sunday.  I'm thinking of shuttling between boat launches on Sauvies with my buddy.  You interested in joining us for the shuttle.  I still have to work out the logistics cause a shuttle drop off can delay launch by 40 min.

Well, it looks like I'll be out on the McKenzie River on Sunday, yakless.

Good luck to all but don't catch all the big ones ;)
