Hi All   Portland Or based and have been fishing the bays, lakes rivers Northwest Or, Southwest WA for the last year or so.   This is a great site would like to start exploring a little further out.  Company seems like a good idea for that.    Fishing and boarding/kayaking.  The best combination ever....    Brian T.

That paddleboard is awesome! Thanks for sharing the pics, it's always cool to see something off from the norm.

If you're looking for company, you shouldn't have a problem here; lots of guys from around the Portland area.
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

It's...it's....beautiful. What kind of SUP is that.  I dig the look of that deck. Nice to see another SUPper on here.

Paddleboard is a 2010 Starboard Fisherman.   Fabricated carbon fiber hardpoints for attaching a removable motor/steering plate.   I can get on the water in 2 trips down rip rap etc.   1 HP Torqeedo Kayak Ultralight motor   22 mile range low power  45 min at full throttle  (goes about 7 MPH).   Nice for crossing current lines and Ebb tides.   FishEasy FF.   Rod Mounts.    etc   Really really fun in wind waves, swells, wakes.    bt

Wow, nice.  Do you have control the torqeedo with your feet or hands?

I'm waiting for someone to start fishing from a wavejet SUP board (http://wavejet.com/) or for someone to put a wavejet pod on a fishing kayak.

Steering is controlled by feet or hands.   In the photo there is a tiller on the mount plate.   Cable steering to the Quadrant plate mounted on the motor shaft.   full 180 steering    Can stand and steer with right foot or kneel and steer with hand.   Forward Reverse throttle for those moments when the wave is just a little bit bigger than it looked rushing towards it....   bt

I would love one of those motors for the Outback. Too bad they cost as much as an Outback!

Gonna need a bigger battery.  "The WaveJet system provides about 35 minutes of continuous run time on a single charge."

What I really wanted was a paddleboard with Laser beams.   Will Mr fusion provide the joules for that.   Hmm might be a little over bouyancy rating.   Probably worth it.   No more problems with the hog line crowd.  Thats a nice .40 on your hip  sorry bout front of your boat missing and all.   Did that hurt?  bt
