You better hurry.the odfw plan on stocking 3500 legal and 40 trophy fish this week   11-15.the water is still in the low 40s yet, perfect for the big ones to be prowling around and the little ones off the hook for the most part.pine hollow starts hopping with power bait tossers as soon as they stock it.the bigger fish will shut down and be harder to catch.plus their Bellys are empty so they are hungry.

I plan on going again this Saturday.hitting it hard as long as it last.I wish other people could get up here but its a ways for many to go.

I strongly encourage everyone to stay away from that fishery. 240pt fish aren't worth the drive  >:D

I've been planning on hitting Pine Hollow this Saturday for a while now.  My wife's folks live in Welches, which helps the trip out some.  Those pics locked me into the trip, though.

Those are some amazing fish. I've looked at the photos 4 or 5 times now. I'm probably not the only one thinking about making a long drive next weekend.

Yaktastic, I'm not sure if I'll have Internet up in Welches.  As of now I am 100% sure I'm going.  I should be there early.  I have a dune Hobie PA 12.

You guys are killing me. :) I've got to finish my kayak trailer so I can go fishing more, but finishing the kayak trailer is taking away my fishing time... vicious cycle.

This is tempting, is there camping available nearby?  If I go, I'd like to make it for a couple days.  Sat/Sun maybe?

Just looked up the Regs for this area.  I couldn't find any special regs for this body of water but in Central Oregon you are only allowed to retain 1 Trout over 20" each day.  Keep this in mind if your hauling in those monsters.

:) No doubt! I've got the ability to car-top it just fine, just trying to get a better setup going so I can get out easier after work in the summer or haul the larger kayak myself, etc.

That's the worst part.you could load up the freezer if you could keep 5 a day.

There is a campground right at the resort.as in restaurant/bar and store, showers. The towns of wamic and tygh valley are only a few miles away for fuel and supply.

Rock creek res. Isn't to far away maybe 5 or 6 miles.haven't been to it this year yet but it should be in great shape.
