Where do you launch from on this RES?  If I go I'll most likely be launching form the resort/campsite.

I launch from the closed ramp.its got barricades on it.you can carry or cart through them.its only 50 or 75 ft from where you park to water.if you are in the campground there is a beach right behind the restaurant where the boat rental dock is.never launched from there but its only a hundred yards at most from the campground. there is another good launch at the boat ramp at the dam.it has your regular old park bathroom lots of parking.

Forgot to mention. where I launch is just past the campground 150yds..instead of turning into the resort just go straight and follow it around.can't miss it.

Nice fish. I too would like to try that fishery but with flies. Thanks for sharing!

I was planning on making the trip, but my new kayak hasnt arrived yet. I might try next weekend depending on how you guys do, and whether they stock it like you were saying.

Langcod,charleypdx,and I did good today.I will post pics in a bit.its still worth going.I managed a 26" and 27 1/4" and 17".langcod got a 17" and a few littler ones.Charley got a small keeper but he had to leave early.

Man, I knew that bite would pick up when I left. Good to meet you guys out there!

Looks like a good day. The last picture really shows how big they are compared to you and the kayak. They are nice looking fish also, not just long.

Drove up there Monday on a whim. Spent the night in the campground and fished tuesday morning. There are still some big fish in there. I only fished a few hours because I was freezing, but that was long enough to catch some nice fish. Caught one around 27 inches and one almost 29, and a couple small ones. I caught them on a gold/red little cleo between the dam and the buoys.

Bad ass man! I need to make it back up there.that's worth the short time and cold.
Was the water still on the cold side?

My fish finder said 48.7 degrees, but I'm shooting through the hull so it may be a couple degrees off. The weather was pretty cold at night and never really warmed up during the day. It rained pretty much the entire time and started to snow on my drive out. I need to invest in a rain hat and some waterproof gloves.
