Saturday August 9th               Henry Hagg

Recreation Area "C"              12:00 noon or 3:00 pm (flexible)

Dress for immersion and bring your PFD!!! Swimsuit should be fine, but what you wear when your fishing would be better. I'll check the water temp this week.

This is really going to be pretty informal. We can talk for twenty minutes or so then pair up and practice shallow/deep water re-entries, boat handling, and swamped boat recovery. I'll bring a throw bag, a pump and my Cobra XL for recovery practice (it has HUGE hatches and swamps easily) Bring pumps and throwbags if you have them.

I picked noon because its warmed up a bit and we can catch the morning bite. I'd be willing to change that to the 3:00 PM (warmer) and then catch the evening bite afterwards if thats better for the majority.

 Seems like the morning bite is pretty good there and fewer boats on the water. Power boats should not be much of a problem though as we'll be in the no wake zone. They will effect you later in the day if your going fishing (great chance to practice boat handling skills ;D )
If you can't make that date Brian said he'd do it again later in the month.

(didn't I say I was not organizing this? ::) )

Tried to add this to the NWKA google calendar, but didn't have any success (or was that access?)...

I'll try to make it, busy weekend moving and all though.

Adding a poll to figure out what time to meet.  Everyone is welcome to come early and do some fishing before the clinic start.

Are you dropping the Google calendar idea? Really liked that idea, as I use google calendar for all my planning, I could attend more events than having to remember to periodically check the forum calendar, and compare.

No.. just not sure yet which calendar we'll go with.  Besides myself, I think you're the only one excited about it PSR.  I'll add the event to the Google Calendar.

Will be practicing wet reentries with or without our fishing gear on?

I"ve yet to spill with my gear on, what is the likely hood of the rod snapping if it just turns over suddenly into the water?, does it just glide in, or does it bend and possibly snap?
