I've got 3 of the 4 kids all day Saturday.  Might make a trip down there with them.

A whole bunch of our members were manning various booths there today and did themselves proud. That's a lot of work, and they were always smiling.

Got a chance to talk to Frank, the Diawa rep , at his booth about their newest offerings. Those of you who have met him know he's not the largest man you'll ever meet, but he astonished passing attendees with his demonstration of the strength and resilience of the Saltiga rods.

He would hand a large man, say 6 foot 4 and 275-280 a 7 foot 15-40 rod, have them do a two handed grasp like fighting a fish on the rail of a power boat, then grab the tip and start bending. And keep bending, pulling it to the floor.  Most men couldn't hold on, and the rod would go as far as 200 degrees at one point. All while taunting the guy with the rod in his hands about not holding on enough. And these guys were up on their toes with very surprised 😲 looks on their faces.

Rawkie, now I know why you like that Saltiga/ Lexa combo so much.

Frank is the coolest dude!  I love hanging out and chatting with him at the Daiwa booth every year.  He always has good stories and MAN, can that guy ever make deals.  Yes, those Saltiga rods are the shiz-nit.  Frank will be in charge of the Daiwa booth at the Portland show in a couple weeks too. Spot, Jammer, and I will also be hanging out there off and on too so for those who are heading to the Portand show, be sure to stop and say hi!

I think the guy with him was, from Northwest Outdoors shows.Really tall fella. I first thought of Rory and Zee because of the, altitude.  He grabbed video of Frank bending the rods. Hope it hits the web feeds.
