Thanks for posting. Sound like it should be good.

Any specific significance of the red arrow in your map running from the county jail to the tackle shop? Should I / we be concerned? Do I need permission from my parole officer  :police: to attend?  ;)

Ha! I'm amazed that no one has pointed that out in the past.
It is a good reminder not to drink too many beers while at the seminar though.   ;D

I would totally watch this on stream or if it was recorded and uploaded to the web afterward.  Any chance of that?

I wish I could but there are issues with the control of proprietary information, product placement and sponsor recognition/requirements to keep us from doing this.

I am working on a series of videos that will break this information down to specifics facets that you can mix and match for different fisheries.  Hopefully you'll start seeing these soon.

Thanks!

I'm assuming there will be bagpipers and Guinness after the presentation?

This one will be well worth calling in sick to attend.

Heck, you're welcome to bring a warm pint of Guinness to drink during the seminar.  I don't think Hogg's insurance allows for them to buy the beer but it's perfectly fine to BYOB to drink or share in the shop.

Seeing as how you teased me last year about making this--- I might have to try to make it down to Portland for this event. Give me a good excuse to visit the kid and maybe learn something about these spring kings. Or at the least--- maybe up my catch ratio.

Beside the learning opportunity-- these events are always a good time. Will certainly try to make it happen.
To anyone on the fence about going to Mark's springer clinic---- just do it.

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

With all the talk about Springers lately, I thought I'd bump this topic for those who might not have seen it.

I have finally come to the conclusion that "springer" salmon don't actually exist and their existence has been one of the most elaborate pranks in internet history played out over the last eight years by the likes of Rawkfish, Spot, dberd and minnowmagnet.   Somewhere out there, there is a freezer full of 12 -16 lb fall salmon that you guys pull out every spring, defrost, and take photos of on the water.   The fact that you've been hosting clinics is really over the top.   Meanwhile I've been eating it up hook, line, and sinker.    Every spring I head out in my kayak looking for "springers" and return with nothing.   A small navy of powerboats often follows me out and I'm pretty sure they are just there to take photos of me so everyone can laugh at me later.

Har, har.. you got me.  Can't believe it has taken me eight years to finally figure this out.
