Happy to be announcing the date for our 2nd annual Chinook Showdown event.  This years event will be April 16th.

Once again the event will be open the the entire Columbia watershed with a weigh in at the Next Adventure PSC.  Entry will again be a low 30.00 with the majority going right back to HOW PDX (just enough taken out to cover food costs)

http://nextadventure.net/events-classes/detail/view/id/2668/

Again this will be a fun, low key event with payouts for the top placing anglers and also a big fish Jackpot.

Hope to see you all there again for this years event!

Sorry folks- New website launched and some links went dead.

Registration is simple, just follow these steps:

Click link ( http://nextadventure.net/events-classes/detail/view/id/2668/ )

Choose how many people you are registering

Click the date on calendar (April 16th is highlighted)

Click the button that will pop up showing how many sports are left

Follow directions for Checkout.

Remember you must submit your waiver before the start of the even along with your optional cash jackpot money.

What is the weigh in time cut-off?
What is the age cut-off for the Junior category?
Are there rule limitations in assisting a junior ie. netting etc?

Thanks

Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm looking for a location and all I see on the NextAdventure event page is a reference to weigh in at the PSC.

I think the PSC is the kayak focused store downtown as opposed to the main store where they sell tents and frisbee golf sets. I think the kayak store out in St. Helens is called something else.

Yep.  PSC is the Paddle Sports Center.  It's on the corner of 7th ave and Alder st.

Thanks, that's what I needed...  Haven't had the pleasure to drive to NextAdventure yet.

They do have a kayak and a snowboard I'm interested in, though...  ;D

Go to the springer clinic at Next Adventure this coming Thursday 7pm -- lots of great pointers.  Also, read the Springer How-To on the front page of the NWKA homepage.  Read any of last year's springer threads for techniques and locations -- look up F'n minnowmagnet ( ;D) if you need search criteria.
