Yeah I'm in for a side dish in addition to what I'm bringing from the list. I don't know what; open to suggestions that travel well.  ;D

Count me in for cups, paper towels and napkins.

I'll likely whip up some jambalaya for a side too.

You in for the full amount of cups, paper towels and napkins, or just a portion?

OK, I think I've got all the updates on the OP.  Would everyone that's sounded off to bring something/help out please check the list up top and make sure you agree with what I have you down for.

Also, to the organizing committee for the ORC: I seem to recall seeing that the tournament would provide for some items like firewood and possibly other stuff too.  Can you please clarify, for the purposes of the taco feed, what (if anything) will be provided by the tournament, and if I should purchase said items and be reimbursed or if one of the organizing committee will do that.

I updated mine and added the burner. I didn't realize I had the power to modify these posts. Don'y worry, I won't let myself loose control of my new found power. Also, $150 for me? Well thanks SamH. Remember if it is on the internet it is true. ;D

I'll grab enough of all of them.  Costco here I come!

Since I'm on the hook for plates and plasticware. Do you think 250 each will be enough? What's a good number ya think?

Limit is 120 competitors.  So long as these don't get used for the HOW spaghetti dinner on that Friday we should be good with that many.

So, we're getting closer to the tournament so I'm bumping this thread to get some additional folks to step up and commit to bringing some of the important items for the taco feed.

I will bring Salsas, probably a few different varieties in large quantity.

Also I do have a HD Projector (will need to make sure it's all good, haven't used it in a year or so.)

Figure on about 3 tacos per person, up to 120 people, so 350-400 tacos.  I'd guess probably around 6lbs of shredded cheese.  Maybe a bit more.  I'm assuming 1/4 ounce per taco.  That may be off.

What we can do is just open one bag of cheese at a time, and then if there are leftovers you would certainly be welcome to take them back home.

er... that's 120 registered participants in the competition. Our family and guests aren't going to eat?

So far there's 40 registered.  I doubt we'll get to 120 participants.  Even if we do not everyone will stick around for the tacos, and of those that do, there is a lot of other food (usually) and so not everyone will want tacos.

I didn't count 2 years ago, but when we had 112 competitors, I don't think we went through 400 tacos.
