When is the next tourney in, or near Oregon? Any type of fishing! Is it safe to assume there will be a 2017 AOTY, if so when does it normally start, January? Some how I didn't know about AOTY until a week, or two ago. I'm not really sure how I missed it... Consider yourselves lucky ;)

I'm in. Time to do some research, and reserve a camp site for the week leading up to the tournament! It looks like it's a 2 person team tournament, is anyone else interested in going? I'll try to talk a friend into going, but it's likely they will be pansies about it. It's only a 6 hour drive! [emoji2] Have any of you ever fished down there?

I fish out of Trinidad more than anywhere else.  Download the charts, look for structure between moonstone and Patrick's point, and fish that. 120' depth restriction. CA only allows two hooks in the ocean, not three like OR. Be prepared for lots of kelp flies if the wind is down. Cover up ears, nose, etc. limits are more generous than Oregon. Can go over that later or at the captains meeting.

It's a fun tournament and the campground is pretty much like the Ewok village. Great spot.
