I went by the super OS lumber yard on the way home.  Door skins were tragically 3 inches too short...doh! So I picked up a beautiful full sheet of 1/4 inch mahogany ply ...$21.00.  The diamond plate was going to be $115.  Thanks for pushing me the right direction.

like many others here, i can't wait to see the finished product. from seeing what you did with OK's P15 T, [ ncka post ]  it will be top notch work.

You seem to know a good deal about hese prams SBD. Any ideas where one could find a really well designed plans for a homebuilt? Not that I could afford one any day soon...just dreaming...

I am no expert Z-.but I have been nerding out a while as I looked around for one to buy.  The Don Hill design is the classic 10 foot pram.  The glass Clackacraft and Koffler both use the same dimensions as the Don Hill.  The sail prams are generally not what you are looking for.  There is one other nice set of plans...I'll find the link on my other computer.

I too would like to make one myself.  I have been harrassing Pygmy to make a kit.  They actually seemed open to the idea.  Maybe a few emails....

Good luck with Pygmy.  I've been harassing them for a while now too, to do a SOT.  John has had 1/2 a foot in retirement for a long time now.  I think he had a both feet in for a couple years at least.  I'd run into the Pygmy guys at trade shows and they'd say that they didn't even know how to get a hold of him as he was "off travelling".  When I finally caught up with him last summer, John said something about doing a SIK rec boat first ("for his daughter") or something like that.  Looks like the Pinguino is "coming soon".  Oddly enough, in the description of this yak, it says it's great for kayak fishing.  John has a lot of stories about catching fish from kayaks ...

Thanks...it really is starting to look a lot better.  I should have it wrapped up in a few days.

Doood, looks awesome. Real badass you got there. Wish I was closer by cuz I'd donate a tune-up to them graphics w/ the brush. If you can find a way to get a sticker printed or something let me know.
