*HOW donation complete*   wOOt!!!!  Excited for 2021.  I had a good plan last year for what fish to target and when, but life happens and I didn't quite take advantage of the trips I had to put AOTY-eligible fish on the board.  I hope to catch more 'keepers' this year, and also end my salmon drought ASAP.

Thanks for organizing this, guys.  What a great tournament, for a great cause.

The prizes have been coming in! I have the $500 gift certificate from Next Adventure! Nomads Fishing is again giving us a seat on one of his guided trips! I have got a trip with Mike Ferris Fishing Adventures (mostly drift boat trips). I received boxes of prizes from Skwoosh, Z-Man baits, Eco Fishing products. There are prizes in route from Pro-Cure, Pro-Troll, Yak Attack and more!
I am working hard to get more and better prizes across the board! The sun is shining, Springers are starting to show up, I caught 2 largemouth bass last weekend! Let's get more people signed up! Please?!?

I picked up a new sponsor, and our 1st fly fishing dedicated sponsor! Sawtooth Fishing Co. https://sawtoothfishingco.com/

They are out of Idaho and will be helping me to get more people interested, or back into contention for kayak fly fishing!

Great to hear about the fly-fishing sponsor. We've had a few in years past but it would be great to get more people involved. I am enjoying fly fishing more from the kayak each year, although sometimes it's hard for me to set down the gear once I'm out there. I'd like to do more on the SUP, since it's a good platform for that.

It is good news.  Good job, Drifter!

(Cap'n, if you need lessons in casting flies while seated, let me know.  I don't always stand up when bank-fishing since Scott taught me the technique. ;D)

It was all on you, Drifter.  I just loaned you my name for a day.  I'm impressed by this donation.  This is getting good!

Now lets find someone who'll donate a couple of fly reels.

Oh, and I reckon I gotta sign up for AOTY again.

I have the dubious advantage of not knowing how to cast properly in the first place, so casting while seated hasn't seemed particularly more difficult to me. I can usually get the fly where I want it (eventually) I just haven't been catching. Also, I need to put more time in. It's too hard [edit:] not to switch back to hardware when I know the fish are there.

I've worked very hard at not learning how to cast.  Just ask any tree.

I understand about switching back to conventional gear.  There have been days when the fish were there and intent on ignoring everyting I offered. I always swear I'll bring a spinning rod with me the next time I go, but I haven't.  Not yet.
