I have used 6" pipe as a rod carrier. A word of caution: your rods will abrade against the tube and the gloss coat/varnish will wear down.

I never thought about that. Seems like you could line the pipe with something less abrasive.

Carpet would snag, and hold moisture and rot. Open cell foam ditto. Closed cell foam, ala pool noodle or similar, just difficult to source and install.

In the end, laziness won over everything else. The use of cheap rods that IDGAF about cosmetically is where I landed.

Might think about trying the mesh rod sleeves. They are cheap and would provide the protection from the tube and other rods.

I use the mesh rod sleeves when transporting rods in my 6" PVC pipe.  Works well to protect the rods.

Just a thought….. you got something to keep road debris from kicking up off the tires and damaging your bow…. Think sand blaster with road pebbles!?
