Very happy to welcome a new local sponsor based in Washington this year. Ignik Outdoors sent a super hot donation to the Brownlee Crappie Shootout Kayak Fishing Tournament 8.

The prize is one of their Firecan Portable Fire Pit units.

COMPACT & DURABLE - Tried-and-true ammo can design, stows, and fits anywhere. Collapsible legs and removable lid, are easy to set up and quick to break down.

MORE HEAT, MORE FLAME - Mesh sides increase visibility and transmission of heat.
FOREST SAFE - Replaces wood fires, raised off the forest floor.
PLUG AND PLAY - Includes everything you need, all together. Includes FireCan and a 5 ft. quick-release hose with adjustable regulator.

Many campgrounds will let you use self contained propane firepits even when there is a full or partial burn ban during the Summer. The Firecan is a great way to still have a get together and make some smores throughout the year around a camp fire. The other huge plus to having a gas fire pit is that you no longer have to do the dodge smoke boogie to if you are the best looking person at the fire.

Ignik offers quite a few outdoor comfort products on their site at  https://ignik.com/ or in local sporting goods retailers.

Their Gas Growlers are a great way to extend burn times especially since the price of single use fuel tanks have gone up. I am really looking at their Backside Heated Pad for the next walleye social in November. Not freezing my butt off during winter kayak fishing would be awesome!

Thank you for the great donation Andrew.

Idaho Rod and Reel will be donating some gear to the Brownlee Crappie Shootout Kayak Fishing Tournament this year.

This is a fairly new shop that opened last year in Nampa, Idaho. With online shopping being popular and big box stores having limited gear and no customer service, Idaho Rod and Reel is  quickly growing for offering both.

Ryan does a great job at answering questions and pointing you in the right direction on gear selection. He has been fishing the area his whole life and has the knowledge to help you catch fish. He carries gear to chase every species you can find in Idaho and if he doesn't have a specific lure you are looking for he can find an alternative that will work just as good or possibly even look into getting them in.

You can find all of the popular brands as well as his personal line of gear at his shop at 2114 Cortland Place, Nampa ID 83687

I recently used his Custom Tungsten Ned Heads to haul in a pile of Smallies on Brownlee. He also holds fishing seminars by local tackle makers as well as community events where kids can come in and make their own lures.

If you don't have time to stop by, you can check him out online at https://www.idahorodandreel.com/

Sigh up for his weekly newsletter to find out where the hot spots are and what to use.

Thank you for the support Ryan.

Dry Creek Outfitters is a new sponsor to the Brownlee Crappie Shootout Kayak Fishing Tournament this year.

Dry Creek is a hugely popular maker of bass fishing tubes and soft plastics located locally in Murtaugh, Idaho. Their lures are used by bass fishing professionals in some of the largest venues with heavy pressure so you know they produce results. Visit their site at https://drycreekoutfitters.com/

In addition to their success in the bass world, Dry Creek Outfitters has a couple other endeavors that may interest BCS participants.

Jerry's Lures is the crappie gear line that Dry Creek puts out. They are made with the same high standards as their bass gear but sized for smaller game. They even have jig heads for one stop shopping at https://drycreekoutfitters.com/pro.../category-jerrys-lures/

But wait, there's more!

Ocean fishing gear from Idaho? You got it! Dry Creek got a little salty with their Mutiny line of products. Lingcod and rockfish season is upon us and Cabbys will open soon in Oregon. Their Mutiny line of baits include the popular grub tail and scampi designs in larger sizes and fantastic colors. Buy a few or save money shopping in bulk at https://drycreekoutfitters.com/products/category-mutiny/

Dry Creek and Jerry's Lures can be found at Bi-Mart, Sportsman's Warehouse, and the Outdoorsman locally but I'm sure they have gear at shops where you live so be sure to look for them.

Thank you for the local the support Brad.

Pleased to welcome Pro-Troll Inc. fishing products to the Brownlee Crappie Shootout Kayak Fishing Tournament sponsor list.

"Founded in 1978, Pro-Troll Inc. creates and markets innovative fishing and marine products and is a leading developer of technology-driven fishing tackle. Its proprietary fish attraction device, the unique EChip  , replicates in lures the electrical nerve discharge of bait. "

With this technology and other innovative lures designs, Pro-Troll has become a staple for Pacific Northwest fishing. Their flashers have produced many salmon throughout the Columbia river system as well as in the ocean and coastal rivers. I have just picked up some of their 360 flashers to hopefully try out this salmon season.

They have a large inventory of flashers in many different styles and colors to choose from at their online store https://www.protroll.com/ or at any local sporting goods shops.

For smaller game, they make flashers and lures like the Kokanee Killers and Trout Killer lures. This deadly combination will definitely help to put nice trout and silver bullets on the deck.

The donation consists of an assortment of their 3.0 Electronic E-Lures and some of their ProChip 4 Flashers.

Thank you Pro-Troll for the great donation.

ICEMULE Coolers has been a great supporter of the Brownlee Crappie Shootout Kayak Fishing Tournament for many years and have sent a cool donation to the 2023 event.
ICEMULE makes some of the most versatile soft coolers on the market. I am still using two of their original Catch Coolers and I know of many more around the PNW still in use today.

They have coolers that are centered around everyday life and general outdoor adventures that are suited for everyone. James started with a great idea and turned it into a high quality product and company that continues to grow.

They sent the BCS an ICEMULE Pro Large Insulated cooler in Grey

"This is it, the entry-level ICEMULE Pro™ backpack cooler, clocking in at 23 liters of beer haulin', ice-keeping performance. The Large Pro can easily load up with 18 cans + ice, making it ideal for a day on the boat or a tailgate before the game."

Find their full line up of soft coolers and other gear at https://icemulecoolers.com/

Thank you James and the ICEMULE team for the support.

COAST Products is a new sponsor to the Brownlee Crappie Shootout Kayak Fishing Tournament in 2023.

Coast has been making quality products that stand up to the harsh elements of the Pacific Northwest for many years. Their gear has been used by generations of anglers and workers. Through this close partnership Coast has been able to refine their products to keep up with changing needs.

I received a Coast Headlamp years ago and it is still going strong despite all of the abuse I put it through.

The donation is for 2 of their WPH30R Rechargeable Headlamps.

From their first fillet knife, Coast has branched out to make safety gear and excellent flashlights and headlamps for every situation. And yes, they still do make a wide range of Cutting Tools.

Check out their site at https://coastportland.com/

Thank you Coast Products for the awesome local donation.

Please welcome Kokabow Fishing Tackle LLC to the Brownlee Crappie Shootout Kayak Fishing Tournament sponsor list.

Kokabow is a local company making trout and kokanee tackle right here in Meridian, Idaho.
Their Tail Feather Dodger used extensively throughout the US to bring kokanee to the net. Paired with their Spinners, Squids, and KokaBugs, they make a deadly combination.

Made with high quality components, their gear comes in a huge number of colors so you can mix and match or double down on your favorite colors. This also makes fine tuning your presentations for specific fisheries possible.

"Our mission is simple: to provide the best products and service to our customers at the lowest prices possible. We take great pride in our company, our commitment to customer service and in the products we produce and sell."

I hope to chase kokanee more this year as they can put up quite a fight and are some of the best table fare around.

Find their tackle as well as ways to rig them up online at http://www.kokabowtackle.com/
Alan is a great guy and his knowledgeable pro staff anglers are top notch winning many tournaments. There will be a pro staffer at the shootout if anyone has questions about Kokabow gear.

Thank you Kokabow team for the support.

Old Town Watercraft is back as a sponsor for the Brownlee Crappie Shootout Kayak Fishing Tournament this year.

Old Town has been around for a long time and is gaining popularity at an amazing rate due to their innovative and diverse product line. Kayak fishing is still blowing up as a sport and kayak bass fishing is gaining popularity as a tournament series. Old Town is one of the most reliable kayak makers with years of experience that translates to top of the line products.

They offer boats to satisfy any mode you may prefer.

Paddle canoes and kayaks is still a very relaxing way to get close to wildlife or fish with a minimalist approach.

Their PDL line of kayaks is a popular fishing platform that enables you to make quick changes and keep your hands free to cast while on the move. These kayaks are stable enough to stand in yet fast enough to keep up with the quickest boats in it's class.

Their power line of kayaks is suited for the serious tournament angler or someone that may need a little help to get out on the water. Honestly, I have been a little envious after hours on the river and seeing a Sportsman AutoPilot buzz past me on the way back up to the top of the run while I'm thinking maybe I'll just drift to Portland LOL.

Donation includes:
2 Treble Angler Sportsman PFD's
2 Super cool hats
2 Custom Ketch boards

Their site https://oldtownwatercraft.johnsonoutdoors.com/us  has everything you will need from kayaks to accessories to get started or upgrade to the next step on your kayaking adventures.

Thank you Old Town for the super cool donation.

Stealth Quick Release Rod Holders was one our first sponsors 8 years ago and have been a great supporter of the Brownlee Crappie Shootout Kayak Fishing Tournament ever since.

Their QR1 Rod Holders are perfect for smaller and medium sized rods and their QR2's will accommodate heavier gear.

I have been using their rod holders exclusively for eight years and have had no problems.

Features
Large size Grip Cam - Handles 1 inch in diameter or larger
Adjustable Forward / Aft pivot with 18/8 stainless hardware
Transit lock-out strap - Disables the Grip Cam
360 Degree mounting post

They have a variety of mounting options for kayaks and power boats. From rail mounts to tracks to flush mounts, they have everything you need to rig your ride. They have also expanded their products to include pivot heads and extensions.

I'm partial to their Rail Mount units for the Outback.

It has been so much fun to see this family company grow over the years. It is pretty neat whenever I watch a video or see cool pictures that have Stealth gear in them popping up on my feed. I have also noticed their gear becoming available in many more local shops.

If you can't find them there you can check them out online at https://www.stealthrodholders.com/
Thank you Cari and Jason for the continued support.

Stryker Rods will be sending a donation to the Brownlee Crappie Shootout Kayak Fishing Tournament again this year.

Stryker Rods is a fairly new company but they have a wealth of knowledge and many years of rod building experience in their resume.

The owners come from a rod building background with other companies but when they saw the opportunity to strike out on their own to build a brand with their values and standards they took the leap.

Their blanks and assembled rods are made right here in Oregon with the best components. I took a tour of the facility and I can say it was like being in a toy store.
Their finished rods and blanks are quickly gaining a loyal following and are becoming sought after for Salmon and Steelhead. They are expanding their line of rods every year and now have rods for every type of salmon and steelhead fishing you can think of in the PNW.

New lines for the Ocean, walleye, bass, kokanee, and even ice fishing can be found at https://strykerrods.us/ They are having a blowout sale right now so some rods and blanks are up to 45% off.

The donation will be for a KDR711C-2

Full disclosure: I am grateful to be a Stryker Field Staffer since they started and possibly before. I remember Josh telling me that they were starting their own company and that I would be welcome to take a chance with them. I was all in with no hesitation because he was a straight up guy that I had full trust in. I am stoked to see the company growing so quickly and putting out such great rods.

Thank you Stryker Rods for the support.

Bixpy will be joining the Brownlee Crappie Shootout Kayak Fishing Tournament as a new sponsor this year.

Bixpy was born out of a need that didn't really have a great solution at the time. Motorized kayaks were just gaining popularity and Bixpy's founder put in the time and effort to make a great product. Now they are one of leading manufacturers of personal motors, batteries, power banks, and even solar panels.

Through the years they have upgraded and fine tuned their motors to keep their units streamlined yet powerful enough to keep up with their competitors.

Motors can help anglers access new areas that may have been out of reach through conventional methods as well as give kayakers with impairments a great way to explore. Most kayak bass tournaments now allow motors for their events and the industry is set to really take off.

Bixpy also offers power needs of kayak anglers and adventurers. Solar panel and power banks are essential if you are planning multi day trips off grid and Bixpy offers both.

The donation is for:

1x PP-77-LW - 6V Live Well and Bait Tank Battery
6x Bixpy Neck Gaiter
2x Six Pack of Vinyl Decals
1x Bixpy T-Shirt - Military Green
30x Bixpy Brochures

Check out all of their gear at https://bixpy.com/

Thank you for the great donation Bixpy.
