Icicle River Springers

I saw that WDFW is opening up the Icicle river for hatchery kings tomorrow. Anyone know if its worth going / if I can float a kayak down there? It looks like it might be possible and that back bouncing eggs or plunking is probably the way to go. If anyone has any info or knows that I really shouldn't because it's dangerous I would appreciate it!

The river is up in a big way from snow melt.

I've never kayaked that river. Unless you have decent whitewater experience, it sounds like an effective suicide method. Hell, even if you have decent whitewater experience, I have trouble imagining it going well in an OTS.

Edit to add: I totally might be speaking beyond my depth here. But the notion of someone hitting the river that I saw this past weekend in a recreational peddle kayak is unnerving enough that I feel like I should say something.

Thanks for speaking up. I just talked to one of my friends who lives in the area but doesn't fish. He paddle boarded that area a few weeks ago when the Wenatchee was flowing at 2500cfs and now that it’s at 15,000cfs right now he also doesn't recommend it.
