So I cut up my Hobie transducer plate

I have a heavily modified Lowrance ready transducer plate on my 2014 revo. Used to run an older Garmin unit (RIP) and I just bought a new Lowrance Hook 7. Hoping I can reuse the transducer plate, but there's not so much of the vertical posts left from the original part. It seems to seat ok but I'm wondering if I'll get problems with the angle, a nose-down attitude, that the transducer wants to naturally sit at now, and any shifting the transducer might want to do during operation. Any advice from the NWKA brain trust on how to deal with this?

On my old outback, I drilled through the plate and then ran zip ties around the transducer and called it good. I imagine there's a better way to tie it down but it worked for two years.

I had modified mine like that too with no problems. Should stay snug once you secure the plate in place. My $.02

Funny enough I had my Garmin zip tied in as well. So I redid my power for the new unit, fired it up, and ran the lines. Went to secure the transducer and low and behold it just fits in the scupper with zero hardware or zip ties. The plate will hold it in place perfectly. Did not expect the 2014 mold to be compatible with the current Lowrance but I'll take the W and get on with life.
