What’s good all my kayak fishing brethren! I hope we are all catching what we’d like to and being safe while doing so! I’ve grown up kayak fishing SoCal for yellowtail, WSB and calicos. Moved up to attend HSU and fell in love with the north coast- rockfish, salmon, halibut and crabs! But now I find myself looking further north to hit my itching for fresh game! Let’s hope the northwest can avoid the toilet bowl that Californias fisheries seem to be circling.

Welcome, fellow HSU alumni! I'm class of 2010. Many fond memories of fishing the Trinity, Klamath, Mad. Been a minute since any of those three had some good runs of salmon or steelhead. But I still love Humboldt Bay for CA halibut fishing.

I'll be out in that neck of the woods at the end of the first week of August to do some hali/soul (sole?) searching myself. If you ever get into the Columbia River Gorge let me know if you need a fishing partner.
