Have caught n released plenty o dinos at Swan, but want to get a keeper just once, never tasted sturgeon, let alone fresh sturgeon. Was hoping someone could give some advice for general areas to try for em, preferably shallower spots, for easier/safer anchoring.
Was checking out some maps, just above Cascade Lock, and a lil downstream from Herman creek looked like possible good spots...any info would be much appreciated!

Will be fishing from a yak, main reason I was looking for shallower spots to anchor. I know the right size ones are few n far between, but I won't get any if I don't try. Thanks for the info!

Sounds like the sturgeon quota might get reached today.
Apparently hundreds of boats on the river, and a pretty good bite. I had to spend the day with the family. Oh well, maybe next year...
