Has anyone on here ever fished for halibut out of a kayak around Port Angeles?

In the late 80s I went on 2 halibut charters out of Port Angeles. On the second day the weather was not great off shore where theye wanted to fish. We moved inside the mouth of Port Angeles harbor and we caught 3 halibut.  Now 35ish years later it seems to me Luke that inner area could be in reach of a kayak.

There was a member who regularly fished halibut out of PA.  He has unfortunately passed but he did quite well out there while he was with us.

I might also mention that Freshwater Bay and Sequim both have halibut grounds within reach of shore.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain
