How did the festival go today?

I'll see everyone tomorrow morning.

Hey Brian, Are you leading the kayak fishing demo tomorrow at 9:30?

What a great way to spend a day; Talking to people about kayak fishing, hanging out with some old and new friends and having an endless selection of yaks and canoes with which to paddle around a beautiful lake.

Thanks to Nanook for the hospitality!  It was nice meeting you Squidgirl (thanks for the hotdogs Marilyn!) and Yaknitup (I'll let you know when I plan to hit that secrect spot Jeff).  And, it's always a pleasure talkin' smack with bsteves (Thanks for bringing the hogtrough Brian) and steelheadr.

Count me in for the next Alder Creek event!

Thank you guys (and girl) for coming out to the Alder Creek Paddle Fest. Everyone did a great job representing NWKA and kayak fishing in general. It was really nice meeting some new yak fishing pepes.

Wish I could have spent a little more time hanging with the yakfishing group, but duty and horseplay called.

I'll get those fliers to the shop.

Thanks again, and can't wait to get out there with you guys.

Jason

Thanks everyone who showed up to help me out.  You made my job a whole lot easier.  We seemed to have at least a few folks stop by that sounded really interested in kayak fishing.   Hopefully we've gained a few new members.

Jason,

I think next year, Alder Creek should have "dry suit races" during the festival.    They do this at the "Georgian Bay Kayak & Canoe Festival" up in Ontario, Canada.  Vancouver Lake is all set for it, esp. with those rowing boat (crew) racing lanes out there on the lake.
