That set-up reminds me of a guy I'd see out in Hawaii all the time in the 80's.  He would sit in a lawn chair with a cooler and his fishing rod on the deck.  On the way in, he'd use his paddle to steer while riding a wave.
 
Looked like a lot of fun!

The first video has got to be one of the best fishing videos I have ever seen. ;D   No offense to any of you guys.  I have seen some great ones made by my fellow NWKA's, but there is just something about that one that made me watch it again.

funny just last night hit up polepole with something similar; Diablo has a hybrid SUP YAK that is finally in retail, 10 foot and 12.5 ft models. was thinking that one of them would be great for feather casting on smaller lakes etc....
